When I told people I was going to college, some questioned why. I’d been touring since I was 16, performing across the country and building real momentum in my music career. Why stop now?
But the University of Michigan was a dream I’d had since I was a kid. After struggling in school when I was younger, getting here once felt almost out of reach.
I didn’t want to choose between my dreams. I wanted both.
Today, I’m a University of Michigan student while continuing to write, tour and build my music career.
The life I dreamed about wasn’t built from one big decision — it was built from the ingredients I kept choosing along the way.
